From Bad to Worse to Good to Great

The marriage conference has finally started! At certain points today, I wondered if that would actually happen, but the Lord is faithful. I have heard that it is going great so far.

Just to give you a little culture perspective.. today we ran into some minor, well major, complications. I had been running out in the cold, brisk morning. When I returned, Mrs. Donell announced that we had some major problems.

#1 - There was no gasoline available.
- WHY? The government puts a ceiling on gas prices, but the people who are selling gas to the stations demand an even higher price. They simply do not sell their gas for the lower prices.
-Problem: Mr. Donell and Claudio were driving back from Buenos Aires.

#2 - The retreat place wanted all the money for the retreat by 2 p.m. in cash or no retreat. - WHY? Many people do not trust checks or credit cards, and I don't think they trusted our word about the reservations.
- Problem: Banks will only let you take out a small amount out of a single account in a day.) We put our heads together and solved this problem by all three of us taking out the maximum amount. Disaster avoided!


#3 - Cell phone service was not working.
- WHY? Who knows. Remember, we're in Argentina. ;)
-Problem: We could not contact Mr. Donell through all this, right before this conference.

As Amy says, TIA - "This is Argentina."

The Lord used this opportunity to show us that He is still on "Plan A" when we are on "Plan E or F." What weak faith I have! Like I said, the Lord has brought it all together, and I hear it's going wonderfully.
